Sarah’s practice is informed by Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, and mentalization-based treatment. She sees each child and family as having important and individual needs and is passionate about developing treatment plans that are specifically tailored towards each client’s needs and  based on evidence based practices.  

Having received a graduate certificate in neurodevelopmental disabilities from the Children’s National Hospital Center, Sarah is well versed in the needs of children and adolescents with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Sarah is currently participating in advanced training with Postpartum Support International in order to support women and their families struggling with perinatal mood disorders and birth related mental health struggles. 

Before receiving her graduate degree in social work, Sarah was a teacher working with children and parents for over 20 years.  During her years as a teacher, she specialized in Early Childhood, family well-being, and teacher mentor and trainer.
