Child Centered Play Therapy

Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is a therapeutic approach focused on allowing children to express themselves and process their emotions through play. In this method, the therapist creates a safe and supportive environment where the child can play freely with minimal direction. The therapist observes and interacts with the child in a non-intrusive way, using the child’s chosen play activities to understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Play therapy is based on the belief that play is a natural way for children to communicate and heal, helping them to resolve issues, develop coping skills, and gain self-confidence.
